Tiger & Bandon Beach

I’ve received several calls and emails, wanting to know what Tiger and I are up to. I’ve been wondering what to write about for this stage of our trip. Guess we’ll start when we got to Bandon, Ore. We arrived on 4th of May and played golf at the Elk’s Lodge with Roger a couple of times.

Since then we have had alot of rain and fog. It’s been cool and damp for the last week. Yesterday Tiger and I finally got a break in the weather and decided to go to the beach and do a little geocaching. (For those that don’t know what geocaching is, check out the internet. It’ alot of fun.) I needed help to fine one of them and  Tiger found it. He’s getting pretty good at this game.

DSCF0009Now Tiger has been to the beach before and he really likes it. But this time he found a mussel shell and it must have been fresh cause he went nuts. He didn’t know what it was so he would sneak upon it, paw it, and then jump back and bark at it. I went over to see what the fuss was about and picked up the shell and tossed it to him to play with. (Well you would have thought I tossed a grenade at him), He was gone up the beach as fast as he could go. Then he would come back and do it all over again. (This dog needs a job…lol)DSCF0019Finally he figured it wasn’t any thing to be afraid of and decided to run the beach and play in the water. DSCF0018

All in all it turned out to be a great day and Tiger and I had fun. We were on the opposite side of the town and had a great view of Bandon as well as the light house.

I wonder how much we really enjoy and understand our pets. I mean other than petting them and saying good boy, when they do something that we like. They really are like children. (Think he might like Disneyland?)

(Maybe not..)Till later.
