This is our third year for the rodeo. It has been held at Harold and Barbara’s home and it is really alot of fun by all. This year we didn’t have all our friend out there. One couple is in the hospital, One couple was out of town hunting, and yet an other couple are recovering from a minor stroke. An other couple were out of town on business. And some of our friends from Silver City couldn’t make it this year. As you can deduce there was a lot of the Quad Squad missing in action this year. But the ones that showed up had fun anyway.
Saturday morning and just getting started. Every good rodeo starts with a great Bloody Mary.
These were made by Richard, and this year we had stuffed green olives with Jalapeno’s. Hmm, Hmm good.
Notice the line is just starting.
Some started earlier than we did. LOL
Some of us started with the poker run. In this situation you really want to lead. Cause you will get dry, with all the dust.
Being able to find the buckets with the cards in them is a real challenge.
Any one that doesn't have an ATV can just grab one that’s not in use. So everyone can enter the events and have a chance to win.
Now for the blind mans bluff. The driver is blind folded and the passenger gives directions. The hard part for the driver is to go in the correct direction when your passenger gives directions by pointing a finger, arm or leg and says go that a way.
Every time you run over a can or crash into a pumpkin you get a time penalty and that could cost you when you need the fastest time to win.
We finish all the events that we entered, and drank and ate, and we just had a real good time saying hi to all the friends that came back this year for this special Rodeo. We really thank Harold and Barbara for the sharing of their home.
Having a problem Fred?
Now waiting for each event is always fun, In New Mexico they call this Siesta time.
The blog isn’t big enough for all the pic’s, So Tiger and I will say keep safe and healthy.
Next up date will be our hunting trip. Mule Deer.
